Local farming support

The parish of Saint Elizabeth is known as the “breadbasket” of Jamaica, meaning it produces a significant share of the island’s food.

My Jamrock Project offers you the opportunity to support a local farmer based in Treasure Beach. Depending on the season, they grow peppers, onions, cabbage, chilli, tomatoes, squash and more. Their farm supplies local markets and sometimes nearby schools or small businesses.

Like many small-scale Jamaican farmers, the work is mainly done by hand, with limited resources and little mechanisation. The support of volunteers therefore provides meaningful help in their daily work.
