Childcare support
Sandy Bank Infant School is a nursery school that welcomes around sixty children aged 3 to 6 from Treasure Beach. Teachers need support to assist pupils who require extra help, as class sizes are quite large and do not always allow for individual attention.
Your presence as a volunteer provides valuable support to the teaching team and gives children more personalised guidance in their early discoveries of the world. It is also an opportunity for them to meet people from different backgrounds and be exposed to new languages and ways of speaking, playing and interacting.
This project is ideal if you do not feel very confident in English, as you will be working with young children who, for the most part, are still only beginning to speak.
