Are you wondering why you need to cover certain costs for your stay while volunteering your time? That is a great question.

Your stay is a personal initiative and is not part of a programme that receives financial support. It is an experience that allows you to discover Jamaica while contributing to the local community where you are based. In this context, you are responsible for covering the costs related to your stay and your excursions.

In return, My Jamrock Project ensures that you benefit from local rates. Transparency is also a core value for us, which is why all the costs required to fund your stay are clearly communicated and fully detailed. With My Jamrock Project, you know exactly what you are paying for and why, and we do our best to offer this experience at the best possible price.

How much does it cost?

The price is made up of two types of costs: fixed costs, paid only once regardless of the length of your stay.

The second part outlines variable costs, which depend on the duration of your stay and are calculated accordingly, down to the exact number of days.

These rates apply to all volunteer projects, regardless of which one you choose. The table below details the prices for a one-month stay.

Registration fees : USD 300.-

What's included

Airport transfer: whether you arrive at the airport in Montego Bay or Kingston, we will pick you up on arrival and drop you off at the end of your stay.

Accommodation: you have a private room with your own bathroom. A kitchen, dining area and living room are available and shared with other travellers.

Project transport: transport to take you to your volunteer project from Monday to Friday.

24/7 in-country support: support provided by the local coordinator who oversees the projects and helps you organise your excursions.

Please note: the price shown above is based on a one-month stay. Variable costs will be adjusted according to the exact length of your stay, down to the day.

What's not included

Flights: flights are not included in the price and must be booked separately. However, we can recommend the most suitable options based on your travel dates.

Excursions: costs related to visits during afternoons and at weekends are not included (transport, accommodation, activities, etc.).

Meals: no meals are included in the price. This choice allows you to organise yourself freely according to your budget. It is however always possible to arrange a breakfast and/or meal plan if you wish.

Personal expenses: no personal expenses are included in the price (drinks, snacks, souvenirs, etc.).

Insurance: no insurance is included in the price. You will need to arrange your own health and travel cover in advance.
